Estate/Probate Auto Appraisals

Auto Appraise recognizes that Estate cases are especially diverse, and are often part of much larger disputes involving multiple parties with conflicting interests. Courts will typically require an appraisal of assets during the course of an Estate closure. Attorneys are not auto experts; they often rely on online price guides to establish value, which may not take into account differences in condition, equipment levels, or possible needed repairs.

Some questions to consider in preparing for your auto appraisal:

  1. Is the vehicle in non-operable condition or partially deconstructed? “Project” vehicles can be especially difficult to value, and most online price guides do not even account for vehicles in non-running conditions. At Auto Appraise, we will take these factors into account to provide you with a realistic value, not an over-inflated price based on vehicles that are ready for retail sale.

  2. Is it your intention to sell the vehicle? If so, we recommend a “Pre-Sale” level auto inspection. This includes a more in-depth auto inspection of the vehicle, extensive photos and commentary, test drive when possible, as well as additional research into current market values and trends to help you accurately price your vehicle. If the car requires minor repairs or service, it’s often beneficial to have these completed prior to our final valuation; sometimes even minor repairs can substantially increase the market value!

Call or email us today with details regarding the vehicle and the circumstances of the case, and we will provide you with our knowledge and expertise to help you decide what level of service is right for you and your family.
